U.S. M1956 Entrenching Tool Cover

The M1956 Intrenching Tool carrier was made from olive drab (OD7) cotton duck and could accommodate either the  M1943 shovel or the M1951 combination intrenching tool. As with the M1943 3rd pattern cover, the flap was closed with a snap fastener and the carrier’s sides were reinforced with eight rivets. However, the M1956 shovel cover also featured a bayonet hanger on the front and slide keepers on the rear.
