Aluminium Handheld Dynamo Flashlight 1939

From 1939, Philips started producing hand dynamo flashlights, later called 'squeeze cat'. The housing was made of aluminum and it sold well from the start, also abroad. During the German occupation, Philips was commissioned to produce squeeze cats for the Wehrmacht. Aluminum was not allowed to be used, which was intended for the aircraft industry. Therefore, the aluminum cats are rarer than the Wehrmachtgrüne cats.
